The archetype you pick
Personality archetypes — bubbly, intellectual, romantic and the rest — set the register the companion answers in. The useful question is not which sounds most appealing in the creator, but which one you would want to hear from on a dull Wednesday evening. That is the voice you will read most often, and the one the existing profiles are sorted by in practice.
Archetype sits on top of the physical choices: ethnicity, age, eye colour, hairstyle. Those are reversible in a minute. The archetype is the part that decides whether a conversation goes anywhere, and it carries over unchanged to a male companion or an anime-styled one.
The background story field
Most people skip it, and it is the field with the longest reach. Long-term memory keeps what you wrote at setup in play: members report companions still referring to a background story months later, with a tone that follows from it. Two or three sentences are enough — where she is from, what she does, one thing she will not drop.
Interests work the same way. A named hobby gives the conversation somewhere to go on an evening when you have nothing to say, which is exactly when a chat usually dies. The guide page goes deeper into how the memory behaves.
Voice messaging is the difference
Audio clips are the feature members single out most. Hearing a reply rather than reading it adds a layer of emotional depth that text cannot reach, and one annual subscriber described the clips as close enough to a real recording that he stopped reading the replies out of habit.
Speech patterns are a setting
Tone and voice are part of the creator, not an afterthought bolted on later.
Unlimited on a paid plan
Texts and voice are uncapped; only images and video draw on the token balance.
What week one looks like
Day one — write, do not browse
Archetype, background story, two interests. Twenty minutes, then start talking.
Day three — correct the tone
Say in the chat what is off. Unlimited messaging means the correction is free.
Day seven — spend a token
One image tells you whether the look you wrote survives the generator.
By the end of that week you will know whether to stay on the $12.99 monthly plan or drop to $3.99 a month on the annual term. Both unlock the same thing; the pricing page sets out what changes.

It is the feature members praise most. Real audio clips carry emotional weight that text cannot, and they are unlimited on a paid plan.
